Hi, I'm David.
David Fox has been a professional photographer since his teens. From his start as a photojournalist, he earned a BFA degree in filmmaking at Emerson College (class of 82') in Boston, Ma. and in 1983 opened a video production company. After the loss of his first wife Toby to breast cancer at 34 years of age in 1992, finding himself widowed with two small children, David re-examined his life goals. Inspired by study at the Maine Media Workshops in Rockport, Maine, in 1993, he returned to his roots, building a reputation for excellence in photography and videography growing his client base in the corporate and consumer arenas, offering event photography, professional portraits, commercial photography, and videography. A believer in giving back, he partners with many event industry associations and non-profit organizations, donating his time and resources to these communities.
Together with his wife and business partner, Greta, he continually innovates, staying on the cutting edge of the changing business environment. In 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, they met the challenge, reimagining the business and launching David Fox, Photographer’s Digital Transfer Services. His passion has always been to capture and preserve what matters most: peoples’ stories, celebrations, and memories, it was a natural transition to expand their digital transfer offerings.
We now provide a full range of personalized services, including digitization of analog film, video, and audio media, as well as scanning, restoration and printing of photographs, slides, and negatives, developing and scanning still camera and movie film (black & white still camera film is developed in house, color still camera film, and all movie film, is sent out to a trusted lab).
He also created his signature Backyard Headshots Portrait program, offering COVID-compliant outdoor studio portraits.
We look forward to the return of “live” event photography as the industry begins heal.
David is the recipient of the 2008 and 2018 (MPINE) Meeting Professional of the Year Award, the 2016 (NESAE) New England Society of Association Executives SuperStar Award, the 2013 (PCMA) Professional Convention Management Association - Continued Chapter Support - Special Thank You Award, the 2007 (ILEA) International Live Events Association Larry Green Heart & Soul Award, and the 2020 (GBCA) Greater Boston Concierge Association - Exceptional Service Award.
