Special Event Photography: The life of the photos begins after the event!
You've spent months preparing for your event, with incredible lighting, gorgeous floral and scenic decor, amazing food, over-the-top entertainment, spectacular design and precise execution. When you receive your photos, you want to see that they capture and portray the essence of your event! Once the food has been eaten, the musicians and entertainers have wrapped, the guests have gone home, and the decor has been taken down, all that's left in hand is the photographic record. You need for it to look right, and to keep on working for you after the event, whether the photos are intended for your client, for your own documentation branding and self-promotion, or both.
Please visit the photo gallery at the International Special Events Society of New England's website: most of the photographs are ours.
Why to use a Professional Event Photographer: It's not just the camera, but the person and the team behind the camera who tell the story.
As with any other event vendor, the key to getting the photographic services and products you want lies in knowing what to look for: quality, experience, professionalism, and service contracts with clearly spelled out, mutually agreeable terms and conditions. What is different about booking a photographer is that much of the life of the services and products begins after the event takes place, and involves a different type of artistry and a different set of skills.
It is important for the event planner and the photographer to share a clear vision of the theme of the event and the intended purpose of the photography: The point of professional event photography is to tell the story of your event by capturing both its essence and details, and to deliver truly great photographs suitable and effective for multiple uses. Your digital camera, which is perfectly good for personal use, is not going to do this for you!
